A weekend of food-filled events celebrating the 40th anniversary of Chez Panisse in Berkeley, Calif., culminated Saturday evening [August 27th] with a Provençal dinner cooked by David Tanis, a co-chef at the storied restaurant. Among the guests were the urban farmer and author Novella Carpenter and the actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who is a representative for the Edible Schoolyard Project. (Source)
