Jake Gyllenhaal confronts his look-alike in these new stills from his upcoming film, ‘An Enemy’.

AN ENEMY is a mysterious thriller played out in the subconscious of a man in emotional crisis. Gyllenhaal plays Adam, a teacher, living with his girlfriend Mary. He discovers a physically identical man, an actor called Anthony, living nearby with his wife, Helen. But are Adam and Anthony two men? Or does one only exist in the imagination of the other?

Jake Gyllenhaal is continuing to focus on edgy, adult thrillers as he is set to star along with Rene Russo in the indie “Nightcrawler” that Tony Gilroy will produce.

Dan Gilroy is helming from a script he penned.

Story follows the story of a driven young man who discovers the nocturnal world of L.A. freelance crime journalism.

Gilroy will produce along with Gyllenhaal and Jennifer Fox along with Michel Litvak and David Lancaster who are producing and financing via their Bold Films banner.

“Lucky Guy,” “I’ll Eat You Last” and “Matilda” are among the major shows up for awards from the Drama League.

The country’s oldest theatrical honors unveiled the contenders for Distinguished Play, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and Distinguished Performance Award at Sardi’s Restaurant. The nominees are a mixture of off-Broadway hits like Jesse Eisenberg’s play “The Revisionist” and Broadway big-tickets like the recent revival of “Annie.”

There is also a heavy Hollywood presence. Tom Hanks, Bette Midler, Alec Baldwin and Jake Gyllenhaal are just a few of the prominent names who are up for acting honors.

Check out the first stills of Jake as Howard Birdwell in ‘Nailed’. Unfortunately, there is still no release date for the film but there have been rumors that ‘Nailed’ may get a theatrical release later this year. Stay tuned!
