The gallery has been updated with screen captures of Jake’s role as Howard Birdwell in ‘Accidental Love’. ‘Accidental Love’ is now available via Video On Demand. A (limited) theatrical release is set for March 20th.

Alice’s (Jessica Biel) perfect life is turned upside down when a freak accident leaves a nail lodged in her head, causing erratic (and erotic) behavior. After her fiance (James Marsden) calls off the engagement, Alice sets off in search of a cure and falls into the arms of Howard Birdwell (Jake Gyllenhaal), a sexy senator who champions her cause. Caught in a love triangle held together by a nail, will Alice listen to her head or her heart?

‘Nailed’ Getting A UK Release Under Title ‘Politics of Love’
5 November, 2014 Author: Catagories: Nailed, News & Headlines

We’ve been covering the tale of David O. Russell’s aborted “Nailed” for years, but the film is one that doesn’t seem to know when to say die. To make a long story short, Russell’s comedy — starring Jessica Biel, Jake Gyllenhaal, Catherine Keener, Tracy Morgan and James Marsden — follows an uninsured waitress (Biel) who accidentally gets shot in the head with a nail. She goes to Washington on a crusade to fight for the rights of the bizarrely injured, but gets taken advantage of by a slimy congressman (Gyllenhaal). A great premise for sure, however a string of financial bungling plagued the movie throughout production, and filming eventually halted entirely before the crucial injury sequence could be reshot. John Swihart Hired To Score David O. Russell’s ‘Nailed’
13 April, 2011 Author: Catagories: Nailed, News & Headlines

The saga continues for David O. Russell‘s “Nailed,” his aborted, troubled farce that he walked away from last year, but is still in the hands of financiers who are trying to get some kind of finished product released. Shooting on the film — written by O. Russell and Kristin Gore, daughter of Al — began in 2008 but was plagued by multiples delays and financial struggles on account of David Bergstein‘s shady dealings. Despite all that, production was noted to be only days away from completion with formerly silent partner Ron Tutor coming out from the shadows last year in an attempt to make something of the “$26 million just sitting on a shelf.” And while O. Russell has officially walked from the film, about a month ago, a screening of an extremely rough cut of the film played for an early test audience (you read reader feedback here) and at the time, it was noted the film was presented with an oldies soundtrack that we surmised was a temp track. Looks like we were right.
