- Ryan Reynolds intended to play the main character, but scheduling conflicts with The Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017) forced him to take a supporting part instead.
- This will be the second time Ryan Reynolds has starred in a Daniel Espinosa film. They both worked on Safe House (2012) together.
