A host of Broadway favorites will join John Mulaney for his upcoming holiday Netflix special, John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch. The title, dropping on the streaming service December 24, will evoke children’s variety show specials of yesteryear, such as The Mickey Mouse Club or The Electric Company.

Appearing alongside the comedian will be Hadestown Tony winner André De Shields, Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford and her Sunday in the Park With George co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, American Utopia headliner David Byrne, stage and screen veteran Richard Kind, upcoming West Side Story star Shereen Pimentel, and Russian Doll’s Natasha Lyonne.

Eli Bolin, who co-wrote the soundtrack to Documentary Now!’s Company parody “Original Cast Album: Co-Op” with Mulaney and Seth Meyers, also penned new songs for the special.

Adding to an already amazing line-up of stars, ACE Comic Con just announced an absolute highlight of a guest–none other than Jake Gyllenhaal!

He will be joining his fellow Spider-Man: Far From Home co-star, Tom Holland and Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson. In addition to these big Marvel names, Kit Harington (Game of Thrones), Taron Egerton (Kingsman, Rocket Man), Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) and Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) will also be in attendance.

On Sunday, it was announced that star of stage and screen Jake Gyllenhaal and Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford will reunite to lead a West End production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s beloved musical ‘Sunday In The Park With George’.

The production will be directed by Sarna Lapine, with preview performances beginning on Thursday, June 11, 2020. Tickets are on sale beginning today.

In a statement, Jake Gyllenhaal said, “Performing Sunday in the Park with George with the brilliant Annaleigh Ashford was one of the greatest joys of my career. I’ve also deeply missed the West End and so to be bringing Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical there alongside Annaleigh is both humbling and thrilling.”

Jake Gyllenhaal, Shirley Jones, Sara Bareilles, Laura Benanti and Judith Light are among the latest round of confirmed presenters for this Sunday’s Tony Awards, hosted by James Corden on CBS.

Also joining previously announced presenters Darren Criss, Tina Fey, Samuel L.
