Earlier today Jake attended a photocall and premiere for ‘Nocturnal Animals’ at the 73rd Venice Film Festival. He was joined by director Tom Ford and co-stars Amy Adams, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ellie Bamber. Photos from the festival have been added to the gallery. Jake Gyllenhaal To Star In Ubisoft’s ‘The Division’ Movie

The Division is coming to the big screen, and no, we’re not talking about that time you ran the Falcon Lost Incursion on your buddy’s projector. The battle to restore order to Manhattan is being made into a movie by Ubisoft Motion Pictures, and will star Jessica Chastain (Interstellar) and Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler).

In addition to starring in the film, both Chastain and Gyllenhaal will be a part of the development process through their production companies, Freckle Films and Nine Stories, respectively. The pandemic-stricken streets of The Division are filled with countless stories of love, loss, treachery, and heroism, but we’ll have to wait to find out what avenues the film will explore.

The Division is the latest Ubisoft property to join the Ubisoft Motion Picture production line-up.

First Stills From ‘Nocturnal Animals’

The first stills from Jake’s upcoming film ‘Nocturnal Animals’ have been released and added to our gallery, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. ‘Nocturnal Animals’ will open in US theaters on November 18, 2016.

The story follows a woman (Amy Adams) who is sent a mysterious manuscript from her ex-husband asking for her opinion. Susan becomes enthralled with the fictional life of the protagonist, Tony Hastings (Jake Gyllenhaal) and his wife Laura (Isla Fisher), and as both stories unfold, Susan is plunged back into her dark past.

Jake Gyllenhaal Set To Return To Broadway In ‘Burn This’

Jake Gyllenhaal is ready for his next stage role, just as Broadway is ready for a brand new theater. The actor will star in the first-ever Broadway revival of Lanford Wilson’s acclaimed play, Burn This, producers Stacey Mindich and Jessica R. Jenen have announced.

Tony Award winner Michael Mayer (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, American Idiot) will direct the revival, thirty years after the play first premiered.

Performances are set to begin in February, ahead of its opening night on March 6. Set in downtown New York in the gritty 1980s, the complex, humorous play explores the spiritual and emotional isolation of Pale and Anna, two iconoclasts who are brought together in the wake of a life-changing event.
